Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his first title for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid year, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-time trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, he has gradually progressed in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
This marks his first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since that period of 2023.
The win also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one titles at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six title deciders, comprising in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and regular outbursts on the tennis court had caused some to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to come to the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his initial tour victory, took control to create a third set.
He rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a tight final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, he secured victory with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
